Sorted Sunday
How Sorted Sunday and the clubs that use it handle personal data, for parents and coaches.
Your club is the data controller for the club's coach, parent and player information. The club decides what is recorded and why.
Sorted Platforms Ltd, trading as Sorted Sunday, is registered in England and Wales, company number 17535482, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. It provides the app and is the club's data processor: it handles that information only to run the service for the club, under a data processing agreement.
The registration of Sorted Platforms Ltd, trading as Sorted Sunday, with the Information Commissioner's Office is to follow; the registration number will be published here.
Sorted Platforms Ltd, trading as Sorted Sunday, is the controller for its own platform records (club contact and admin accounts, club requests and security logs) and for the opposition-coach directory, which it compiles from FA Full-Time, league fixture sheets and club websites.
To run the club's teams: squads, availability, fixtures, team selection, match records and results, and to keep the service secure.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: your child's club has a legitimate interest in organising its teams and matches, and Sorted Platforms Ltd in running and securing the service. We have weighed this against your and your child's interests and keep the data to what a coach needs. Children do not sign in; coaches and parents do.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising or profiling.
Each club chooses whether its live watch page is public. When it is, anyone with the link can open it without signing in, so families can follow a game; when it is not, only the club's coaches, admins and linked parents can, after signing in. New clubs start with it switched off. Anyone who is not signed in as a member of that club (visitors, search engines, other clubs) sees a player by their initials only (for example "J.R."): never a first name or a surname. Signed-in coaches, admins and linked parents of the club see names.
A coach can switch on "Hide on public pages" for any player. That player then shows publicly as "Player" or their shirt number. Coaches and the team's signed-in parents still see the name. Ask your coach if you want this for your child.
Seeing the team's players to link your child needs the club code your coach sends with the parent link. Until you enter it, players show as initials only (for example "J.R.") and you cannot claim a child. We record that your Google email entered the code for that club (not the code itself), and failed attempts with your email and IP address for one day so we can stop guessing; a code for one club does nothing at another. Parents already linked to a child keep working without a code.
Some of these providers store or process data in the United States. We use providers whose terms include the UK's approved safeguards for international transfers.
You can ask to see the information held about you or your child, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict how it is used, or object to it being used. Ask your club admin first: the club decides on the request and Sorted Sunday helps carry it out, normally within one month.
About a club's data: that club's admin. About Sorted Sunday, Sorted Platforms Ltd or this notice: ceo@sortedplatforms.com. For help using the app: support@sortedsunday.com.
If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us too.
